In the second semester, the focus shifts to Advanced First Aid and Trauma Care, equipping students with sophisticated techniques to handle severe injuries. The coursework includes Emergency Medical Equipment and Techniques, Patient Assessment and Triage, and an introduction to Pharmacology for Emergency Care, preparing students for a wide range of emergency scenarios.
Students will explore Ambulance Operations and Management, gaining insights into the logistics and protocols of emergency transportation. Clinical Placement I provides practical training in real-world settings. Additionally, students will study Health and Safety Regulations and Community Health Education, emphasising the importance of compliance and community involvement.
The fourth semester includes Obstetric Nursing, focusing on maternal and newborn care during pregnancy, labour, and delivery. Community Health Nursing II emphasises advanced public health concepts and interventions. Nursing Research & Statistics equips students with research methodologies and statistical analysis skills. Professional Trends and Adjustment prepares students for transitioning into professional nursing roles and adapting to evolving healthcare environments.
